Legal documents for the Keepr iOS app
Effective date: October 1, 2026
Keepr (“we,” “us,” or “the App”) is operated by Sysna Corp Solutions (“Company”), Texas, USA. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use the App, why we collect it, how we use and share it, and the choices and rights you have.
The App is available for iPhone through the Apple App Store. It lets you share content from other apps (such as Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, or your messaging apps) or your own screenshots, so the App can read, extract, and organize that information for you.
This Policy does not apply to the third-party apps or websites you share content from. Their own privacy policies govern how they handle your data.
By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information as described here. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
To use the App you create an account with one of the following:
We do not ask for your name. We also store your plan (free trial or subscription), your trial dates, and how many posts you have saved in the current period, so we can apply plan limits.
When you share something to the App, we store it with your account on our servers:
If more than one account signs in on the same phone, each account only sees its own posts.
The Stash is deleted if you delete the App. On a new phone it is rebuilt from the posts saved to your account, but done/removed marks are not restored. You can use Export to keep your own copy (see Section 8).
The App does not request access to your photo library (you pick or share specific images), camera, microphone, location, or calendar. You can change permissions at any time in your iPhone’s Settings.
When you open the App or your plan changes, the App sends a usage signal containing: a random install identifier created by the App, app version and build, iOS version, device model, language/region setting, App Store country, your plan, and, if you subscribe, the product, price, and currency. When you are signed in, this signal is linked to your account. It does not include the content you save.
When our servers process a share, they record technical details linked to your account — the platform, the type of note produced, whether processing succeeded, how long it took, and the processing resources used — so we can fix problems and manage costs. These records don’t include the content of your post. If you’ve chosen to share analytics with app developers in your iPhone’s settings, Apple may also provide us with crash reports, which don’t identify you.
Each person and each device can use the free trial once. To enforce this we keep:
These records are kept after you delete your account so the trial cannot be restarted (see Section 8).
Subscriptions are purchased and processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive your payment card or billing details. We receive your subscription status (which plan is active), the product, price, and currency.
If you send feedback in the App or email us, we receive your message, the email address you provide, your app version, and your device model. Feedback is stored on our servers and emailed to our support inbox so we can reply.
We do not collect your precise location, contacts list, photo library, browsing history, audio or voice recordings, payment card numbers, government ID numbers, or your device’s advertising identifier, and we use no third-party advertising or tracking SDKs.
We use the information above to:
Authorized Company staff can view account email addresses, plans, usage counts, and feedback in an internal administration dashboard, for support and operations only. Authorized staff may also review saved content, such as shared links and extracted notes, to troubleshoot problems and improve extraction quality. Access is limited to people who need it for these purposes.
| Provider | What it does for Keepr | Information involved |
|---|---|---|
| Cloud hosting and database vendor | Database, file storage, authentication, and server functions (United States) | Account, saved posts and images, extracted notes, usage, diagnostics, feedback, fraud-prevention hashes |
| OpenAI | AI model that turns a shared post into an organized note | Text of the post you shared (link, caption, transcript, comments, recognized screenshot text) and, for some posts, the post’s public images |
| Content-retrieval software vendor | Retrieves the publicly available caption, transcript, comments, and images of a post you share | The link you shared |
| Resend | Sends sign-in codes, password resets, trial reminders, and feedback emails | Your email address and the email content |
| Apple | Sign in with Apple, App Store subscriptions, DeviceCheck | As described in Apple’s privacy policy |
| Sign in with Google | As described in Google’s privacy policy |
Each provider receives only what it needs to perform its function and processes it on our behalf. According to OpenAI’s API data-usage policy, data sent through its API is not used to train OpenAI’s models by default and may be retained for up to 30 days for abuse monitoring.
We don’t use your saved content to sell you ads, and we run no advertising or tracking SDKs in the App.
Where applicable law requires a legal basis, including in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, and Switzerland, we rely on:
We may use aggregated or de-identified information that can’t reasonably be linked to you to understand general usage trends; we don’t attempt to re-identify it.
User-initiated only. The App has no standing connection to Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, WhatsApp, or any other platform, and does not poll, browse, or retrieve anything on its own. Content is retrieved only after — and only because — you shared that specific link or message to the App.
The App is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Meta Platforms, Inc., Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, Google, or WhatsApp. Their names are used only to describe compatibility.
How we get content from a link you share. The App does not log into those platforms or access your account there. A content-retrieval software vendor we use retrieves the publicly available caption, transcript, top comments, and images associated with that specific link, which OpenAI then reads and organizes. We only process the individual link you chose to share.
We can only see what’s public. If a post is from a private account or has restricted visibility, it cannot be retrieved, and the App can only use what you shared directly (such as a screenshot or text).
Messaging apps. When you share a message to the App, we only receive the specific text or image you choose to share through your device’s share sheet. We have no access to your WhatsApp or other messaging accounts, contacts, or chats.
Changes to platform access. Because this depends on publicly available data and third-party providers, these features may change or become less reliable if a platform restricts public access or a provider changes its service.
Your responsibilities and other people’s information. Content you save remains subject to the rights of its owners and the terms of the platform it came from; Keepr is for saving content for your own personal reference, and you’re responsible for making sure your use complies with applicable law and those terms. Public posts and their top comments can include other people’s names, usernames, or photos. Please avoid saving personal information about other people unless you have the right to do so. Content owners can ask us to remove content as described in our Terms of Use.
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only:
We have no advertising partners and do not share the content of your saves with other users.
Because the App can save almost anything you share — contacts, financial or stock-related content, health- or fitness-related posts, and more — what you save may reveal or suggest sensitive information such as your health, finances, religion, or relationships. Providing this information is your choice. We use it only to provide the features you request, and we don’t use it to make unrelated inferences about you, sell it, or use it for advertising. The App does not provide medical, fitness, legal, or financial advice.
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit (HTTPS), encryption at rest by our hosting provider, and access controls that let each account read only its own posts and files. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
Residents of the EEA, UK, and Switzerland have these rights under the GDPR/UK GDPR; residents of California and other U.S. states with comprehensive privacy laws have similar rights. To exercise any right, contact us (Section 11) or use the in-app options above. You can revoke device permissions at any time in your iPhone’s Settings.
If you’re a resident of California, Texas, or another U.S. state with a comprehensive privacy law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of your personal data, and to opt out of certain sales, targeted advertising, or profiling. We do not sell personal data and do not process personal data for targeted advertising as those terms are defined under these laws, and we have not sold or shared personal data for cross-context behavioral advertising in the preceding 12 months.
You may authorize an agent to submit a request on your behalf where applicable law allows it, and you may appeal our decision by replying to our response. We may ask for information reasonably necessary to verify your request.
Children. The App is not directed to, and is not intended for use by, children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
International data transfers. Our servers, provided by our cloud hosting vendor, are located in the United States, and our service providers may process data in the United States. If you use the App from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States. Where required by law, we use appropriate safeguards, such as Standard Contractual Clauses, for transfers from the EEA, UK, and Switzerland.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we’ll notify you through the App or by email before they take effect and update the effective date above. Continued use of the App after changes take effect means you accept the updated Policy.
